Kalyn loves Grandmas pickles, she can't chew them just gums them to nothing...it was too funny!

Matthew is learning how to shoot his bow, so far pretty good for 4 years old.

Our house

As most of you know, Briggs and I have been building our house here in Michigan for 9 years, we are almost done. This is the latest project, my library, it is upstairs on the landing, the fouton is under it and I just love it. All that is left to do is some trim work and the carpeting upsairs. If Briggs could just keep working and not get laid off everytime we turn around, we could have the money to finish. But we are so close, and when it is done are we ever going to celebrate!!!!!

Organic fertilizer

We are adding cow poop, that is what we told Maya we were putting on it and that Pawpaw smelled really bad.My Lion friend Louie, wanted to see what it looked like, but he did not stay up there very long. The only thing left in the garden is peppers and a few carrots. After we get done with the peppers we will disk up the manure into the soil and hope for a really good garden next year.

Cow Poo

Since our garden hasn't had any real organic fertilizer, the neighbors got together and spread a little cow poo...boy does it smell good around here!NOT!!!

Babies and Flowers

This summer in Texas Kalyn went swimming for the first time at Lake Hawkins, then she is showing Sophie how big she is and then when I got home my sunflowers were blooming...some were 12 ft. tall...I leave them on the plants for the birdy buffet.

Well here are the baby girls. Kelly and Kalyn, Sophie and Grandma Susan and Oleysa. I can't wait to get them all together.

BoisBlanc Island

Recently I took a short vacation to Bois Blanc Island Mi. Briggs Aunt Suzy and Uncle Jim have a cabin there. To get there you must ride on a ferry , the US Coast Guard ship, is in port in Cheboygan,Mi. While there I made green eggs and ham, for kids at the island museum, and got to see the home of Mrs. Hoover, yea the vacumn hoover, they have donated lots to the island. I had a wonderful time, Suzy and I went to game night, knit night and jus enjoyed the island, it was a very relazing time, if you ever get the chance, you should go see the island.

Cousins

Introducing Kalyn and Sophie, they don't know it now, but they are going to have a great time together as they grow up.

This hawk was sitting on the back of one of the lounge chairs at the lake, he let me get kind of close before he flew off..it was neat to see he can turn his head around and look at you.

Three generations

Well here are my girls and my beautiful grandchildren, and handsome too. This was taken June 7th after Sophie's baptism, the babies were dressed alike and Matthew was unhappy, but it was a good day.

New World preschool

This was our outing to New World Preschools end of school program, with Pastor Mike and Miss Sharon and Grandma Susan and Mommy, it was fun but I got passed around too much, but it was fun looking at all the kids through the glass in that cry room, I don't know why they call it that I didn't cry...but Pastor Mike is going to have to learn my name before June 7th, it is not Paula Michelle, he is so funny!!!Not!

My family

This is my Paw Paw Briggs, he is reading me a story about trucks and bull dozers, he says he will show me how to operate them when I get a little bigger and this is my Grandma Susan, she calls me her little Rose Bud....

That's my Mommy with the pig tails, I wonder if she will let me have pig tails when I get hair, and that's my Daddy getting to hold me for the first time...he has long fingers and so do I....

Well Here is Mommy and Daddy arriving at the hospital....and this is the monitor that keeps track of my heart rate and Mommy's contractions(what ever that is) Mommy said it was way cool to know when I was causing her pain since she couldn't even feel her toes..and this is the door hanger that told everyone that I was a girl and my name...

Kalyn Makenna

Well here she is! Miss Kalyn Makenna Chandler. She is the cutest, best, little lady.She only crys when she gets her diaper changed. Tomorrow she will have her new cousin Sophie to play with.

Matthew visits Lake Hawkins

Matthew came to te lake for a visit, he brought his bike and first off he had to have PawPaw build him a ramp to ride on, then we went for a boat ride , and he now thinks that Grandma is the Bestest Boat driver in the whole world...and that is what he told me...we had a great time...

This is the circus canopy over the baby bed...Briggsy was graciuos enough to offer to stop by IKEA to pick it up for me....well as April said on her blog, I wonder what the people thought about this bearded, grungy,hadn't bathed, wearing bib overalls, dirty boots, mud from construction site...man buying a canopy for a baby bed....too funny...but that is why I love him...he takes care of the ones he loves.....I plan on adding a few embellishments later to it...but it looks good right now..
